- Club Cab, Chrysler trade name for extended cab pickup
- CHMBL
- Center High Mounted Brake Light (third brake light on top of the cab)
- DAK

- ET

- Gen I Dakota
- A Dakota with a model year between 1987 and 1990
- Gen II Dakota
- A Dakota with a model year between 1991 and 1996
- Gen III Dakota
- A Dakota with a model year between 1997-2004
- Gen IV Dakota
- A Dakota with a model year of 2005 or later
- I4
- Inline 4 cylinder engine
- IAC
- Idle Air Controller, little motorized valve that adjusts the idle speed
- IMHO
- In My Humble Opinion
- JTEC
- Jeep Truck Engine Controller A.K.A. PCM, SBEC
- LSD
- Limited Slip Differential, Chrysler trade name "Sure Grip"
- LT
- Luxury Trim
- Magnum
- A type of engine; Dodge's name for the fuel injected engines introduced in approx. 1992
- MAP
- Manifold Absolute Pressure, absolute pressure sensor for fuel injection
- MOPAR
- Chrysler's parts division
- MP
- Mopar Performance, the performance division of MOPAR
- OWL
- Outlined White Letters , on tires
- PCM
- Powertrain Control Module, computer that runs the fuel injection A.K.A. JTEC, SBEC
- PCV
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation, also Pollution Control Valve
- RC
- Regular Cab, e.g. not Club Cab
- RWL
- Raised White Letters , on tires
- SBEC
- Single Board Engine Controller (computer) A.K.A. JTEC, PCM
- SMEC
- Single Module Engine Controller (computer) A.K.A. JTEC, PCM
- SLT
- Special (or Super) Luxury Trim
- TB
- Throttle Body
- TPS
- Throttle Position Sensor, rheostat in the end of the throttle shaft
- TSB
- Technical Service Bulletin (fixes for common problems which are sent to dealers)
- QC
- Quad Cab
- WOT
- Wide Open Throttle
