Dakota VIN Registry
There are currently
trucks in the database.
Welcome to the Dakota VIN Registry! The purpose of this page is
to try to document the problems Dakota and Durango owners have
with their trucks. Sometimes, problems can occur on the assembly
line, which show up later. If this is the case, vehicles
which were produced at about the same time may exhibit the same
problems. If you can prove to DaimlerChrysler that vehicles
built before and after yours exhibit the same problem, your
chances of coming to a satisfactory resolution are much greater.
This page is an attempt to identify such problems.
If you're thinking about adding your truck to the database but
are worried that someone may use your VIN (Vehicle Identification Numbers)
for illicit purposes, have no fear. Even though this page is named
the "Dakota VIN Registry", there are actually no VINs in this
database. All of the fields in this database (and more) can be determined
from your VIN, hence the name. So, please feel free to add your info!
The more trucks in the database, the more useful it becomes!
