Experiences with the SALES department at Ramey Dodge

Ramey Dodge
SALES Department Experience No. 0001
Name: Erich Hanhart (hanharte@swbell.net)
Date: January 1998
Rating: (poor)
Description: I bought a brand new 1998 Dakota SLT ext. cab V8 5spd. from Ramey. It had been raining off and on while I was buying it so I opted to not have it detailed at the time. About 2 weeks later I decided just to detail it myself. As I was waxing it I noticed some body damage. They had attempted to cover it up with Bondo and a piss-poor repaint. I confronted the the sales manager who told me he didn't know anything about it and that it could have happened at another dealer. He was the first dealer to recieve the vehicle, as their name was on the window sticker. They still denied it. Finally got them to admit that it was their fault somehow (but he still didn't know anything about it-yeah right). The only offer they could come up with was to repaint my truck so that I couldn't see the wave in the body panel. I said "do better than that or I will see you in court". That is about all of the info I can give right now, but will update after our lawyers reach a settlement. The service department is the worst I've ever encountered, and the parts department is so-so. Maxwell Dodge has treated me very well, in all aspects that I've had with them so so far. They definetly get my business next time.
