Experiences with the SERVICE department at Gene's Chrysler Plymouth Dodge Jeep

Gene's Chrysler Plymouth Dodge Jeep
SERVICE Department Experience No. 0001

Rating: (somewhat poor)
Description: I've had to take my Dakota in for routine maintenance, accesories installation, and warranty work. The service advisors don't seem all that friendly, and definitely don't seem like they communicate much with each other OR other departments. With my pinging problem, they claimed the technicians couldn't 'hear' it, and they didn't want to go on a quick test drive with me. When my factory stereo went 'dead', it took about a month before they got a replacement in, and never called me when it did arrive! I called on my own several times, and if it wasn't the service advisor I dealt with - they knew nothing, and did nothing to try to get me an answer. I had them install Mopar front-tow hooks, and they did a lackluster job with those - one bumper mount was not securely fastened as was one of the tow hooks! I was able to fix this problem myself, but I don't expect to be doing this after paying them to do the work!! Too bad the service dept. is kinda crummy like this, totally offsets the excellent parts dept., and decent sales dept. This is supposedly a 5-star dealership, and based on my experience I think the 5-star award represents only the parts dept. Too bad there isn't another dealer in Fairbanks I can have my truck serviced at...
