Here's a twist. how do you cable modem folks feel about xDSL?
I have a 7.1 Mbs drop here at work for internet access and I pay 189.99 mo
(vs. the 1500.00 a month we were paying for a full T1 1.544Mbs)

Hehehe , basic cable here is only $6.95 , thank competitiona again !
Another reason to rent and not buy the modem is if anything happens to it ,
they pay for it , versus if you buy it , and say if lightning hits it ,
it's your problem .

Well , this may work for some places , but not for others . It depends on
what type of cable plant they have , positive or negative trap , and if it
is addressable .
