Eric, the rear axle broke at the weld, where the axle tube fits into the
center. (happened at the strip, still drove it home). First time tranny
went, a shifting fork broke, stuck in 5th gear, while towing a Dart race
car. (still drove it 90 miles home towing car and trailer- naturally, had
to replace clutch also). Second time, blew the seal around the speedometer
pinion housing, still drove. Last time, shifter broke inside tranny, stuck
in first (you guessed it, I drove it home, but only had to go 2 blocks).
Last time was out of warrenty (by 15 days), but, after some calls to
chrysler, they covered it (could have gotten expensive!). I cant complain
too much. Dak made 305hp, But my previous Dak ('92 CC 4x4 5.2L auto) had
the same mods, plus converter and valve body, and held up great. Glen.
