Have you checked into a gear vendors overdrive unit? handles up to 800hp
and gives 6 speeds when hooked up to a A727... (0.78 overdrive) Worst caase
you can hook it up to a built 904 non od ... www.gearvendors.com they run
about $2200.00, but then again so does a couple of A500s...
They are out here in SanDiego... Gotta say goodbye to the locking torque
converter though...
