Oh man you guys should have heard this convo
I called another dodge dealer cause the first was clueless about the pinging
problem. The second one told me "Autolite plugs are primarily for ford
vehicles" and he recommended I use champion plugs. He also told me 180
degree stat is HIGHLY not recommended... seems like he totally went against
everythign I've seen here on the list. Well.. they recommended that I get a
flash on my puter, and I aked them "will this retard my timing by 4
degrees?" and he says well it may, but it will stop your truck from pinging.
What the funky... I got an appt for monday at 9:15 at one dealer, and
wednesday afternoon time at another. I am gonna tell em straight up, no
puter flashes without my approval. Will a timing retard, cause a big diff in
performance? I personally think its a map sensor... but I've been wrong
before.
